Who Is Owen Livesey?

Instructor Bio:

At 30 years old, Owen has already accomplished much in the grappling world. A rare few can claim they conquered a commonwealth title in Judo.. Even fewer in one of Judo’s most difficult weight divisions, 81KG. Add the fact that Owen has successfully transitioned into both MMA and BJJ, it goes without saying grapplers of all levels could learn a few things from Owen. Most days Owen can be found leading his growing team at Carlson Gracie Hull through intense practices and drills which has led them to be one of the strongest teams in the area. As an active competitor in the national and European circuit, Owen has learned to adapt his powerful Judo style to both Gi and No Gi. Body locks, headlocks, snap downs, trips and throws are just a few of the important techniques which Owen has become known for. An absolute nightmare on top when the action hits the mat, Owen has quickly developed a reputation for his legendary top game pressure. A dynamic arsenal from the bottom position, resulting in Owen rapidly climbing the ranks of the competition circuit.
